ScientAct S.A. was established in 1995 by people with high experience in the field of high technology and its applications, and in the fields of environmental research and monitoring equipment.



The company was established, with main target the formation of a dynamic and quickly progressive organism. In order to achieve this target, from the first day we set the main axes of activity and which briefly were and still are the following:

  • Collaboration with internationally recognized manufacturers and providers.
  • Particular emphasis at the quality of the final product.
  • High quality after – sales support.
  • Constant communication and support of our customers.
  • High standards at the selection of the executives and the collaborators of our company.
  • Constant training of our collaborators with final object the complete and proper support of our customers.
  • Put in practise every modern way of communication, with final object the quick response to the customers needs.

 

Very soon our selections were rewarded. From the first year of our operation, SCIENTACT presented constant rising course, at the economical results, but mainly at the acceptance in the difficult field of high technology.

Today our company possesses one of the highest places in the market, winning the recognition and the trust of its customers.

Parallel to this, new co-operations with internationally recognized manufacturers and providers strengthened the dynamic of our company, giving us the capability of higher targets and the means for constant investments, expansion of the activity fields and also expansion of the company itself.

 

International quality certificates

In 2001 our company received the quality assurance certificate ISO 9001 and thereafter operates under regulations of the certification, providing high quality services to our partners.

Our company is registered at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Chamber of the manufacturers.

In September 2008 our company received the ISO 17025 certificate and has accredited laboratory ESYD (Hellenic Accreditation System S.A.) for the design, installation of telemetric meteorological systems.

With the simultaneous application of both the leading ISO certificates we ensure the high quality of our products and our services.

International acceptance of the environmental monitoring systems provided by our company

Today, after having installed telemetric networks measurement systems that enumerate more than 500 units, we have highest level of expertise, not only within the Greek borders.

 In 2002 we undertook the design and installation of meteorological and hydrological network stations on behalf of the Bulgarian Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology, which operates to this day with exemplary precision.

 The next years we undertook and installed measuring systems in the Danube River along the Bulgarian-Romanian borders. Similar systems were installed in Skopje as well as in Albania.

In August 2007, our company undertook the design and construction of a dedicated weather station on behalf of the French Public Electricity Company (EDF). The station was delivered and installed early October 2007.

After two months of pilot operation, EDF has decided to create a network of stations in southern Europe but also in other regions such as Central America.

In January of 2008 our company delivered four new stations, while our staff trained engineers at EDF facilities in Beziers and Paris. In March 2008, our company delivered four additional stations. In January 2009, we delivered four  more stations.

EDF having big experience in renewable energy sources and also in measuring systems, has chosen our system after extensive testing of both the European systems and systems of USA origin.

In 2008 we have delivered and installed a net of 18 meteorological stations in Cyprus for the Ministry of Agriculture.

In 2010 we have won an international tender in Skopje, for the renewal of the existing meteorological station network, belonging to the Hydrometallurgical Service of the country. On July of 2011 we have delivered successfully the project.

 In 2010 we have won an international tender in Albania, for the Ministry of the environment. The tender has included various measuring equipment relative to environmental parameters, On September of 2011 we have delivered successfully the project.

Generally, the last 3 years we succeeded to have regular daily sales to Albania, Skopje, Bulgaria, Cyprus.

The total usable area of our facilities is 350 m2.  180 m2 are dedicated to laboratories for manufacturing and assembly.

Installed Systems Hydro-Meteorological systems

Our company has installed and maintains over than 650 telemetric systems, since 1995.

At this point we would like to note that probably we are the only private company in Greece, which has a server for routing measurements through GPRS technology.

 The company provides free routing measurements for small networks consisting of 3 stations maximum. This gave us the opportunity to study in depth the process of GPRS - Internet, so now we can design and offer the most stable and reliable telemetric networks.

 Our company has supplied hundreds of digital systems for measuring and recording weather - hydrological - environmental parameters.
